Mild Asthma
I 19F have mild asthma but most of the time don’t even need my inhaler. Though I am perplexed, the med that I am taking is Formoterol Fumarate and Fluticasone Propionate, it is not a rescue inhaler. My asthma is so mild that most of the time it doesn’t even come unless the air extremely cold, I am laughing, or there is smoke (from cigarettes).
The thing is, after looking at my chest x-ray, my doctor offhandedly said I had bronchitis, when she said that I have mild asthma. This is why I am on the med. I don’t know what to think, which is which? To add to that, I was diagnosed with Spasmodic Bronchitis (I don’t know what this entails) when I was twelve and was diagnosed with Allergic Bronchitis when I was sixteen. Now I am nineteen and was diagnosed with Asthma recently.
But the thing that bugs me is that my doctor diagnosed me with asthma after listening to my chest, I also presented my symptoms (difficulty breathing during nighttime, chest tightness, morning cough) and offhandedly said it is Asthma. And then after making me do a chest x-ray, she said I have Bronchitis. And when I asked her if I had either, she said I have both. Does that make sense?
