My family and I are relocating from Qatar to New Jersey, and we plan to enroll my son in Mainland Regional High School. For context, we are all Black, and my son is queer. I am wondering if he will face any adversity here or if the students are typically nice. This has been his biggest concern, especially considering his past experiences. Additionally, we are coming from the UK education system, and he is about to finish his IGCSEs. How would that transfer here? What classes would he need to take in 11th grade to graduate, and would he receive credits for his IGCSEs?
