At some point this might become a problem lol.
So after seeing the post about the Bombay cultivars here today I decided to check my local Lowes.lo and behold they had them. While chatting with an employee, he mentioned that if I saw anything that was struggling that I thought could be saved he could take 50% off. Ended up coming home with a Bombay Opal and a Bombay Cherry Quartz. Trimmed away the soft and rotten parts and repotted into fast draining soil. Hopefully I will end up with 2 beautiful plants at a bargain price. Wish me luck as they sit on the patio protected from rain for the next couple of weeks.
Not looking too bad for a $10 clearance plant a couple of months ago
See my last post from 51 days ago for context, but this is where we stand today after thinking all hope was lost after the hard freeze in Florida this year. These trees were 8-9 ft tall before.
These pics were taken one year apart and the first one was taken about 2 weeks ago. I repotted and hard pruned this leggy beast at the beginning of March. Every new branch is now loaded with flower buds!
Had these little guys a couple of months now. How are they looking? Any glaring mistakes I’m making.
New to succulents and trying to plant in rocks. I have had to swap out a couple of plants over the last 2 months since planting these and I understand I may have to move more of them as we get into summer rains here in Florida. All are planted in a mostly inorganic mix so they drain very well. Any thoughts, ideas, or tips welcome.
Had to cut these almost to the ground due to hard freeze in Florida this year. I’m sure they are not out of the woods yet but they are definitely giving me hope. Anyone else have to cut back almost to the ground and have them recover?
