I'm a new crew leader on a professional crew, and I'm pretty nervous for this coming season. I hadn't planned on being a crew leader this year, but my org struggled with finding one, and apparently, I was the next best option. I have six months of experience as a crew member and six months of experience as an assistant crew lead on an AmeriCorps crew, but I don't feel like this is enough to lead a crew. I've also been away from the trail work world for a while. I worked as a park naturalist for the past two years, but decided to come back to trail work because I missed it. I was really planning on just getting my feet wet again this season. So I will take any advice and words of encouragement you have on leading a trail crew.
