I just switched to Linux because Windows was running really poorly, so I decided to go with Ubuntu and followed the entire process as outlined on the website. It worked perfectly from the USB drive, but after installing it, it asks me to disconnect the USB drive and press Enter—yet it never boots up; it just takes me to the menu.

Has anyone else had this same issue and know how to fix it? I’ve searched on YouTube, but my laptop doesn’t have the BIOS options shown in the tutorial—or at least they aren’t the same.

I have the “Secure Boot” option disabled.

My laptop is a ThinkPad T460P and I tried with Ubuntu 26.04.
