CHI Health. Run. Do not walk. Chaos central.

If you value your sanity, do not work here. CHI Health is extremely understaffed, yet they continue to hire and pull PSRs off the phones to train new employees, leaving the rest of the team to handle back-to-back calls every 4–5 minutes, sometimes totaling 100+ calls per day. MA staff are stuck on chat only and contribute little to easing the call load, so the stress falls entirely on PSRs.

Supervisors are largely absent or unresponsive—half the time “in meetings” or nowhere to be found. When you do reach them, expect slow or inconsistent guidance. Systems and processes are disorganized, results management is confusing, and daily workflows feel chaotic and reactive rather than structured or manageable.

Pay does not match the workload or mental toll. Recognition is generic at best, and the culture feels disconnected, reactive, and chaotic. Opportunities for training and development exist occasionally, but are overshadowed by the constant stress and overwhelming call volumes.

Advice for Management: Stop pretending you’re supporting your staff. Stop pulling PSRs off the phones, stop disappearing into “meetings,” and actually respond when guidance is needed. Fix the chaos, staff appropriately, clarify your processes, and pay people fairly. Employees are drowning—stop pretending everything is fine.

Overall: Nonstop calls, minimal support, disorganized systems, supervisors MIA, MA’s doing only chat, constant stress—you’ll be exhausted before you even realize it. If you want stress, chaos, and burnout, this is the place. Otherwise, run.
