“Designed and printed a semi-submersible RC payload platform.”
Built this semi-submersible RC payload prototype using a cheap donor RC boat and a fully custom 3D printed hull.
Designed in Fusion 360 and printed in PETG.
The idea was to experiment with:
- semi-submersible stability
- payload transport
- waterproof hull design
- rapid prototyping
It can carry small objects/drinks and was tested successfully in pool conditions.
Still a prototype, but a really fun project to build.
