Please share the benefits you have personally experienced from caffeine abstinence. I am particularly interested in the effect on energy levels & easing of anxious physiological symptoms.

Had a bit of a brainwave that caffeine may not be the miracle drug it is thought to be. I have always struggled with my energy levels, I am an extremely active person & probably dip into overtraining occasionally which means I am constantly smashing caffeine to get through the day. Recently I have noticed some uncharacteristic anxious physiological symptoms paired with tiredness and a lingering eye twitch that has been around for a few weeks. In considering causes, I am going to trial going without caffeine to see how it affects me and thought it would be helpful to learn from the experience of others on here.

Please share how abstaining from caffeine has impacted your energy levels & anxious symptoms. Also interested in alternative hot drinks as my plan is to replace with a decaf green tea amongst other herbal teas - should I be weary of any other issues to consider in replacing coffee/tea with decaf herbal teas?
