I’ve rolled my own dual cave spider spawner farm but only one spawner actually spawns any spiders and I can’t work out why.

When I’m stood on each spawner, the co-ords are:

X: -75 Y: -40 Z: -71
X: -83 Y:-36 Z: -76

It’s the higher one that doesn’t work. I’m stood at:

X: -78 Y: -48 Z: -61

My sums make me just under 14 blocks from the higher spawner. I’ve cut out the standard 9x9x5 area around each and extended into one large box, and tiered the floor down to a single wide channel to the killing point.

What have I missed?
