27m Guitarist Looking for collaborators/band – indie / art rock (Nassau County, LI)
I’m looking to connect with musicians interested in making original, adventurous music. Recently freed up my schedule after years of grinding and ready to actually commit time to this. Would like to jam with people around my age maybe 21-35 years old ideally.
Influences/what I’m going for:
Animal Collective, Battles, Don Caballero, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, The Beatles, The Strokes, Thinking Fellers Union Local 282, Duster, Geese, Black Country New Road, 100 gecs
Basically:
experimental, dynamic, willing to get weird but still melodic. Open to mixing electronic/acoustic, building textures, unconventional structures and pushing rock forward.
About me:
Intermediate guitarist getting back into playing consistently after a break. More interested in collaboration and finding the right musical chemistry than showing off chops but having chops isn’t a dealbreaker lmaoo.
What I’m looking for:
Guitarist, drummer, bass, and singer maybe even keys / electronic textures and/or producer. I want people who want to write original material together, chill some, eventually play shows, and see where it goes. Ideally find my musical people and build something real.
NOT looking for:
Metal, pop-punk, emo (unless you’re into Midwest emo / Disintegration-era Cure vibes), cover bands, or super polished/commercial stuff.
Availability:
Weekends are wide open. Can do some weekday evenings if necessary.
Location:
Nassau County, Long Island. Willing to travel into the city.
