Hoping someone can provide me some advice. I’m hoping to eventually be a 0132 with the FBI. With this, would it be smarter to move into another professional staff role within the FBI right now? Or try to move into an IA spot in a different agency and then apply to FBI down the road?

I am interested in this position. I know the hiring process is lengthy, but what’s the process like once you clear background? Do you have to wait for a class or do they occur often? Also, what offices are good/likely first offices?

I have options for both in professional staff roles. Which would be the pick for career progression?
