A friend filed for asylum like two years back but the process became complicated as she couldn’t attend biometrics appointment. USCIS kept sending the appointment notice to wrong address.
Now they just a notice to appear before an immigration judge in NC.
She has valid asylum case, but what should we expect with the current immigration situation?
Would a judge make a decision on the asylum case?
Also she has an infant baby!!
Edit:
She did contact USCIS several times to get biometric appointment rescheduled and get it sent to correct address. She even tried with a lawyer. The USCIS officers just kept saying they will schedule new appointment which never happened!
Edit 2: thanks for the judgment on the comments. I was looking for advice on what to expect and stuff. I guess this sub is the wrong place!
