My study is currently in the data cleaning phase, and we are approaching a critical timeline. I had always told myself that I wouldn’t look for new opportunities until after database lock, as I feel a strong sense of responsibility toward my sites and the study.
However, a CRO recently reached out to me with a stronger offer. Professionally, it would provide better exposure and long-term growth. At the same time, I feel conflicted. We are a small team of about 3 - 5 people on this study, and I am the sole CRA supporting it.
I can’t help but feel guilty about leaving during such a crucial phase, especially since my colleagues are genuinely kind and supportive. It makes me question whether there is ever truly a “right” time to leave. Am I doing something wrong by choosing to move on now?
