How do Hardcore / Hardstyle producers handle kick variations efficiently?
I’ve been wondering something about Hardcore, Acidcore, Hardstyle, etc.
In these genres, kicks evolve constantly during a track (pitch, distortion, texture, EQ, tone…).
Do producers usually create a brand new kick every time, or are there more efficient workflows to modulate the same kick?
Things like:
macros
automation
effect racks
resampling
layered processing
I’m mainly trying to understand the real workflow behind modern hard music production, because manually remaking every kick variation seems insanely time consuming.
