Level 117 Dex/Faith build — Am I doing something wrong in Farum Azula? [ps4]
Hey everyone,
Elden Ring is my first Souls game, and I’m looking for some advice because I’ve just reached Crumbling Farum Azula and the difficulty suddenly feels completely different.
I’m currently level 117, and these are my base stats WITHOUT any talismans or equipment that increase attributes:
Vigor: 40
Mind: 17
Endurance: 14
Strength: 20
Dexterity: 49
Faith: 40
Intelligence & Arcane are at their minimum.
I do use talismans and equipment that boost some of my attributes, so my actual stats while fully equipped are higher than the numbers above.
My main setup is:
Bloodhound’s Fang +9
Gravel Stone Seal +14
Mimic Tear +6
I’m basically playing a Dex/Faith hybrid, using the Bloodhound’s Fang for melee and Dragon Cult/lightning incantations such as Ancient Dragons’ Lightning Strike, Vyke’s Dragonbolt, Ancient Dragons’ Lightning Spear and Lansseax’s Glaive.
Up until Farum Azula, this build worked really well for me. I’ve beaten almost every major boss so far without needing a crazy amount of attempts, despite Elden Ring being my first experience with this type of game.
But since reaching Farum Azula, I feel like I’ve hit a wall.
Regular enemies are manageable, but whenever I fight a boss, I feel like I barely deal any damage while they can kill me in 2–3 hits. I Did beat godskin duo tho.
But like that mf that guard the entrance of Maliketh. I barly do any dmg like ???
So I’m starting to wonder if my build has reached its limits.
Are my stats badly distributed for this point in the game? Is splitting points between Dexterity and Faith hurting my damage too much? Should I focus more on one of them?
Or should I simply upgrade my Bloodhound’s Fang to +10, my Gravel Stone Seal and Mimic Tear further, and keep going with the same build?
Any advice on stats, talismans, equipment, incantations or general build optimization would be really appreciated.
maybe I’m just bad idk :D
