If CS is cooked, then who the hell is making $87k?

If CS is cooked, then who the hell is making $87k?

The NY Fed data shows CS has high underemployment, but only ~7% unemployment. So if a majority of CS grads are supposedly underemployed and can’t get tech jobs, where are they actually working?

And here’s what doesn’t make sense to me the median salary for employed CS grads is still around $87k.

Are CS grads somehow getting $87k while working random non-tech jobs? If so, what jobs are these? And why do CS grads seem to have better outcomes outside their field than graduates from majors like sociology?
