I’ve been teaching English online for a couple of months. It started as something occasional, but it’s gradually becoming more regular as I get more students.

One thing I’ve noticed is that many students tend to take lessons quite casually and don’t always commit long-term, which makes it hard to rely on this as stable income.

I’ve also been thinking about the financial side of it, and I’m not sure whether, at my current rate, this could realistically become a sustainable full-time job.

I’ve had some good reviews and met some great students, but at the same time the workload is becoming more demanding, and I’m unsure whether it’s worth continuing in this direction or focusing my energy elsewhere.

I’m 35 and a bit concerned about stability, so I’m trying to make a thoughtful decision rather than just continuing by default.

Has anyone been in a similar situation with online tutoring? Did you stick with it or move on to something else?
