I loved Returnal, so when a friend told me about Saros, it was an instant buy.

The problem? I played it like it was Returnal. When I ran into corrupted artifacts, I completely ignored the tutorial pop-up (as one does) and just treated them the same way.

Turns out, I just didn’t read.I had no idea that defeating an Overlord actually removes the negative effects. I only realized this after picking up an artifact that gave me +6 to every stat… but also hit me with “max health reduced.” After I killed the Overlord, the purple chunk of my health bar just vanished.

TL;DR: Defeating Overlords cleanses your artifacts. I, however, did not cleanse my inability to read tutorials.
