I think one of the biggest challenges of the mini-lathe is simply space. When I'm trying to get a dial indicator in there, there is very little room to move around.
Right now I have a magnetic base for an indicator with a switch, but the base is often too large. It looks like this:
I looked around on amazon for a while for something smaller. Anybody using anything or can recommend a better base? I also find this fixed post coming out of the base problematic.
