How to enjoy training for the run?

This might be me just being a puss but I hate the run workouts? The swim workouts and the bike workouts I both enjoy but anytime it’s a run day I’m dreading it.

For context — used to be a serious runner. But got out of shape and now my endurance is kind of shit (need to run/walk a 5k right now). Doing a Sprint in a few weeks. Can’t imagine doing a longer distance race? Any tips to make the run training more enjoyable? I used to do my training by logging mileage as that was how I was taught in sports but after reading 80/20 I’ve switched to time which seems… easier?

The run I’m also the most worried about for the race. Used to be the swim but I’ve been putting some serious time in the pool.

Any run training tips? Is 2 days a week enough running?
