I built the firefly moc which I actually found out about through this subreddit and it is now one of my favorite Lego sets of all time.
For anybody who built the off brand Lego one is it worth getting as well?
To be more specific my great uncle gave me some old axe heads that he has no use of anymore. I’ve tried to get information on the heads because some of them are apparently very old but whenever I try to get information out of him he’s always vague and I can never get anything out of him. I don’t think he’s lying about the age, it’s just that he doesn’t bother to remember/ doesn’t remember.
The only axe he’s been exact about is an old double bit one that his father made him use when he was young (50’s most likely?) and clarified that his father had been using it for a good amount of time before that which is cool but he doesn’t use it and has it hung up. If I ever get photos of it I’ll make a post about it.
Anyways any help I could get on these axes would be much appreciated. From what I can tell the smaller axe reads
“Highest Quality”
“Clean cut”
“DC&HCSANFRANCISCO”
I’m going to try and use wire brush on the writing to clean it out right now while I wait for comments
Edit: after a lot of brushing the large of the two axes reads “Diamond Edge”
This is my first time personally installing a new handle on my maul and I’m stuck on which way to install the new edge properly. Advice needed!
