In the very beginning of my spanish studies I learned that "tomar" can be used when ordering drinks or food. And beber is drinking, "bebo cafe". But both can be used about drinking, right? Is there a difference when to use tomar and when to use beber? And which one is more commonly used in LatAm?

I am traveling to Colombia and I have studied spanish. My teacher is from Spain and of course he has taught me "castellano" spanish. I have learned to pronounce letter z and "ce" and "ci" as "th sound", for example: cerveza ---> thervetha. He has been very demanding about this pronunciation 😅 But now I learned that this "th sound" is only used in castellano spanish and not in South America. Should I start re-learning how to pronounce the words with normal s sound?
And second question: apparently usted and ustedes is very common in colombian spanish? Can someone give examples? I really struggle when and how to use usted 😞
And is there some really common colombian spanish phrases a traveler should know?

Can a girl say "tengo frio" ? Is "tengo fria" grammatically wrong? Usually words ending -o are masculine, but is frio for both genders?
And is there a difference between cabello and pelo ? Both are hair, but is there any difference or can I just use either one?
And difference between disculpe and disculpa?
For feminine it is "esa" but how i know when to use ese or eso?
Same for esta (feminine) but what is difference between este and esto?
