Civil to Aerospace?

Don’t judge, but I recently saw Project Hail Mary at the movies, and as a civil engineering major, I’ve never been into science and astronomy. Now, I’m seeing myself become super interested in studying aerospace or astronomy after watching the movie. I feel like I’m too deep into my major, so I was thinking of adding an aerospace minor and maybe even going to the military to get closer to working with aerospace technology. Could I work in aerospace with just a minor? I’m trying to figure it out because I might just be obsessed with the movie.

Hardest semester?

For graduated civil engineers, what was the hardest semester for you? I just got finished with my 4th semester taking dynamics, fluids and strengths of materials and almost didn’t make my scholarship GPA requirement and now i’m nervous how the next following semester with be and if it will be as or harder than this semester. I plan on taking structures, geotechnical and possibly a few labs. Will a 4.00 gpa be possible?
