Built a dog health tracker because I was tired of losing vet papers

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share a project my wife and I have been working on. It’s a dog diary app called Haffy.

We have a Bohemian Shepherd and keeping her health logs in sync was a pain. We built this as a local-first app (privacy focus, no cloud account required) with a Flutter frontend. It tracks vaccinations, weight (with graphs), and includes a Gemini-powered AI assistant for quick breed/nutrition questions.

It's a non-commercial project and we’re looking for feedback on the features. What’s your biggest struggle when it comes to managing your pet's data?

If you're interested, I'd love for you to check it out and tell us what's missing!

We built a small health tracker for our Bohemian Shepherd – what else should we add?

Hi everyone,

My wife and I have a Bohemian Shepherd named Besi (a fluffy Czech breed). We always struggled with keeping track of her vaccinations, weight changes, and what she can/cannot eat.

Since we are developers, we spent our spare time building a digital diary called Haffy just for our needs. We just added a health card where we keep all her medical records, allergies, and weight logs in one place, which was a lifesaver during our last vet visit. It also has a little AI assistant that helps with breed-specific questions.

It’s a non-commercial passion project (privacy-first, no account needed). We are now thinking about what to build next to make life easier for dog parents.

Do you use any apps/tools to stay organized with your dog's health, or do you still prefer the old-school paper booklets? We’d love some feedback on what features are actually useful for you!
