Compact Travel Options
Bit of a strange one here, I'm going on a short trip soon and want to take actually small & light camera kit. Phone photos are OK, but I want access to longer focal lengths without digital zoom.
I have with my Z6 a 24-70/4 lens which is a bit chunky for this lightweight trip.
I was thinking about buying an Olympus E-M10 II with 14-42 pancake to bring the size & weight down as I have been impressed with a friend's E-M1 II.
However, I am conflicted about splitting my resources and was wondering about a compromise Nikon set up.
I could reduce my flexibility with a 40/2 Z lens and/or more controversially a 16-50 DX pancake zoom with the associated DX crop.
I don't print big images and the approx 10 MP should be fine for sharing or a photo book and still be better than my phone
In fact I could get both lenses for the same cost as the Olympus bundle.
Has anyone tried this on a 24MP body?
I know that a Z7 with 16-50 DX has been a useful combo for some as the crop resolution is about the same as a Z50
