Navy Federal CC still being reported a delinquent
I have a Navy Federal Credit Card that I unfortunately could not afford the monthly payments on and let it get very delinquent. Last August they were suing me and I ended up settling with the lawyer for an amount that was a few thousand less than the total and made a down payment plus agreed to $300 monthly payments which are automatically deducted from my account so obviously they have all been made on time since then.
I looked at my account today on Credit Karma and realized my credit score hasn’t changed at all despite making regular payments and settling this debt, which I thought would make at least some small difference. When I checked the account history it shows it’s still being actively reported every month as “derogatory” despite us settling and me making monthly payments that will be done within the next year. Is this correct? Shouldn’t it have started showing as up to date or at least not derogatory once we made a payment plan? Is there any way to fix this? Can I request that they delete this from my credit report as a gesture at this point since I’m up to date on payments? See picture below.
I also noticed it’s labeled as “in collections/charge off” but it was never sold to a debt collector. If the debt was charged off already then who is my money going to when I make payments? The lawyer and not Navy Federal? Can someone explain this to me please.
