Could My Symptoms be Low B12
Hi all, I wanted to ask about my symptoms and if they could potentially be from low vitamin b12. I recently got my bloodwork done and my b12 levels were at 328 pg/ml. My symptoms include muscle twitching and pain especially in my legs and feet, sometimes my hands, numbness in my toes, deep muscle aches that kind of radiate, random tingling sensations throughout my body and some mild weakness. The weakness generally is worse in my right arm and leg (my dominant side), and i am able to do everything i would normally do with them when i feel it, they just feel weak if that makes sense. I also have visual snow, and ear ringing from time to time.
I’ve had all of these symptoms to varying degrees for almost 10 years, since I was a teenager, but I feel like my symptoms have gotten worse over the past few months. I have been constantly anxious I might have MS but that anxiety might not be making things better tbh.
I was wondering if people have experience with these symptoms and if my b12 levels could be causing them. I’m going to a neuro next month and will be reviewing my lab results with my pcp soon. Some things I should also mention are that I am apparently deficient in vitamin D (19.5 ng/ml) i have chronic anxiety (especially health anxiety) and I have been pescatarian for almost 7 years. Thanks in advance!
