In the beginning…
I have a question about the big bang and what occurred as we understand it.
If all matter was there at that moment, why didn’t it all collapse under its own gravity into a supermassive black hole?
A definition…
Can someone define what a force is please? When I check it in the dictionary, it says this:
(Physics)
A) an influence on a body or system, producing or tending to produce a change in movement or in shape or other effects.
B) the intensity of such an influence.
C) any of the four natural phenomena involving the interaction between particles of matter. From the strongest to the weakest, the four forces are the strong nuclear force, the electromagnetic force, the weak nuclear force, and gravity.
I am referring specifically to point C, yet this doesn’t define what a force actually is. What makes it a force and how do we determine that? Can someone help explain this to me please?
Hello, I was looking into Christianity and its beginnings in Japan. Anyway, I had always thought that Jesus was not mentioned in Jewish texts. However, an academic I know said that he is called Yeshu and is spoken about in the Talmud. So I looked up Yeshu and found there was quite a lot of controversy surrounding him and if he is/isn’t Jesus. I was translating the text, so I may have this wrong but he is described a fraudster or an illusionist, who performs magic or tricks and calls them miracles. It appears that but some of these are similar to the miracles of Jesus and this is where the controversy stems from. As I couldn’t really reach any definitive answer on it, I thought I would ask here.
Also, I would be interested to hear how Judaism views Shinto and Buddhist religions please?
Thank you 🙏
