Does this exist?
I'm pretty new to the world of modern flashlights, so forgive my ignorance. There is so much available out there that I get overwhelmed. I'm looking for a light to take fishing both in a boat (true night time) and wading (twilight into dark) that’s lightweight and versatile. Ideally, it could clip to s shirt pocket or pack strap, have a head that pivots or is 90° to the usual placement. It would also have red or green light for tying knots, etc without screwing up my night vision. In a perfect world, it would also have uv so I can make a quick wader repair if I have to.
I currently use small lights that clip to my hat brim for tying knots, and they're adequate for that, but they don't help much at all when hiking beck to my car or trying to illuminate a dock or shoreline or rocky area of water when in a boat. If I remember, I bring my “best” available flashlight with me (a crappy LuminTact that I bought at an outdoors show 15 years ago—i can hear you laughing) but it's always in a bag or on the floor of the boat somewhere when I need it, so a better light with more versatility, lighter weight, and wearable convenience would mean it would always be in my kit and ready to use for everything. Thanks for your thoughts and suggestions.
