Document checklist confusion- Tech Nation
Hi everyone, I submitted my Global Talent Visa application and I’m now at the document upload stage.
I’m a bit confused because when I was preparing my Tech Nation application, the criteria I specified were: Mandatory Criteria (MC), OC1, OC3, a CV, and three Letters of Recommendation (LOR 1, 2 and 3). There was no mention of needing proof of business ownership or incorporation documents at that stage. Is that another evidence seperate from MC evidence 1-3?
Now that I’ve paid and received the UKVI document checklist, it’s asking for “Proof of any active or dissolved businesses you have established, had ownership of, or been senior executive of in the last 5 years” as a mandatory document which wasn’t part of the Tech Nation guidance at all. My company Article of association contains 29 pages.
I have my CAC (Corporate Affairs Commission) Certificate of Incorporation for my Nigerian-registered company, which is just a page but my name does not appear on the certificate itself.
My questions are:
1. Did anyone else find this business proof requirement confusing since it’s not mentioned in the Tech Nation criteria?
2. Is the CAC certificate alone sufficient or do I need additional documents proving my founder/director role?
3. For those with a Nigerian-registered company, what did you actually submit for this requirement?
4. Would audited financial statements showing my name as company principal work as a supporting document?
- It also says to scan the documents but I have digital copies so do I still need to print them out and scan them?
