Worth grading/authenticating?

I traded some football cards for this at my local card show this past weekend. I thought it would be fun just to have and add to my collection, but after seeing the other Earnhardt post of their card being graded I’m playing mind games with myself. Should I get it graded and/or authenticated?

Confused and would appreciate help

I’m still trying to get the hang of this hobby and would greatly appreciate some help. I got this card and when I research it (2026 Donruss Black Optic Prizm) all the cards I find for Bell are numbered in the lower left side on the back. This one isn’t. Is it anything actually “special”?

Best way to sell

My son and I have started to get a decent amount of numbered, RCs, special parallels, etc and looking for guidance on the best way to off load them. Obviously there is eBay, but what have others here had good luck doing?

They tried…

Now that it’s been a day, here is a perspective of Race the Base from a life long fan who has been to a lot of tracks/races.

Long story short:
- Getting in wasn’t bad if you planned ahead and followed the rules.
- No parking section/area signs which made it fun to find your car.
- No Hydration stations as promised.
- Lines for restroom 30+ min wait
- Lack of food and water
- No track pins
- Hurry up and wait no matter where you go.
Getting out was comparable to other tracks.

Long story long:

I would like to start this section off by saying, “thank you” to Nascar and Naval Base Coronado. I seriously appreciate the attempt to put on a one of a kind event and please understand that I would not want to deal with the logistical nightmare that I’m betting this past weekend was.

This post is simply meant as a way for me, a simple Indiana boy who’s goal is to visit every nascar track in the US before I leave this world, to express my experience for those who didn’t attend and thought how cool it looked on tv.

I did plan ahead and read through the posts created for this event (arrive early, what could and could not be brought in, have your ID/passport, etc) so I felt decently prepared. I then read how awful the waits were for the O’Reilly race so I made sure to arrive early. I believe I arrived to the front gates of the base right around 7:15am. From there I was directed to a very large parking lot (green zone) that had zero markings/signs to help break down exactly where I parked. (in hindsight I could have “dropped myself a pin” on my phone map, but I was excited for this experience and didn’t think of it in the moment)

From there I proceeded to the gate line and met some really nice individuals from the area (shout out to Rick and Gary) while we waited for the gates to open. The gate I was at actually opened up about 15 minutes early and I was super happy about that cause I was in need of a restroom after all the water I drank in preparation for the day. Once at the front of the line, getting in was actually pretty easy as long as you had your id and ticket ready.

After getting through the gate I hit the porta potties immediately inside the gate and then straight to the track shop I went, just to wait in another line for 25 mins only to be disappointed in the fact that all the track pins had been sold on Saturday and no there were no reserves. From here the exploring began. Lucky the drink lines weren’t super long yet so I was able to grab myself a $5 bottle of water.

Once it was gone I began looking for one of the refill stations, which was portrayed as something that would be readily available. I ended up walking along the outside of the track from turn 12 all the way to turn 3 (same direction the cars would travel) and found one water fountain that was outside of a building that was possibly some type of barracks maybe. It was not marked in any way/sort/fashion, but the line for it helped it stick out.

At this point the cloud cover had broken, the crowd increased and shade cover was hard to come by. I headed to my assigned seating area (between 1 & 2 where the cars got some air under them) and waited for the start of the race. This is where I found out that my assigned area was on some 1960s style bleachers that really had us all really packed in with general admission ticket holders stacking up along the railing in front.

About half way through stage one I went to get more water and instead of walking the half plus mile back to the water fountain I opted to go buy a couple new bottles. This is where the crowd size and lack of resources really started to show.

I had to wait about 25 mins just to get a couple of waters and I didn’t even try for food cause I heard people telling others that they waited over an hour. I began trying to explore the other areas of the track only to find similar circumstances. When I got clear over by turns 11 & 12 the drink lines were smaller but the areas that didn’t have a fence covering were taken so couldn’t see the race all that great.

Returned to my seat for conclusion and happened to walk by as the crash happened that collected SVG and Zilisch. From here I waited 30 mins just to use a porto potty that had been used by who knows how many hundred of people.

End of the race then leads to the fun of trying to find my car in a pretty big lot, that again, wasn’t marked in anyway. All of this while people are flooding out. Traffic out was comparable to other tracks.

I hope it doesn’t come as complaining but more as my perspective. I’m super thankful for the experience and thank all of those who put it together.
