Seeking Street Smarts Advice: How to Defend From Muggings?
Hello everyone. I got a brand new VSETT Scooter but I live in crackhead capital of Canada called Vancouver BC. We aren’t allowed to carry firearms or weapons and police don’t really do much here cause their hands are tied by our weak legal system. Even with air tags, the police generally won’t help you recover your shit.
I’ve personally seen scooter riders get hijacked by junkies or hooligans here. I’ve seen junkies jump out at the last minute causing riders to fall then they get jacked, or I’ve seen riders get punched in the face and knocked off their scooters.
Seeking advice and strategies on how to properly defend yourself on a scooter or how to prevent getting mugged.
Other questions,
What should I do if someone tries to jump me or grab the scooter while I’m riding? Do I crash into them at full speed and hope for the best that it knocks them down and I keep riding away?
Any other smart strategies or lessons learned from riding in tough areas?
