Wireless Bridge confusion
I bought a PtP TP-Link wireless bridge from Aliexpress, basically the TP-Link Chinese EAP215 equivalent. I have 500Mbps fibre optic and a garage 100 feet away. Even though it was in Mandarin it was not too complicated, set it up and had it running but was throttling at 80-90 Mbps, CAT 6 cables. I realised at this point it only had 100Mbps Ethernet connectors, despite the 300/800/1000+ wireless speeds a lot of these bridges claim, a lot of them don't have Gbps ethernet ports.
Am I missing something? These devices can never achieve those speeds without a Gigabit port? They can't operate in receiver and AP mode at the same time, right?
Also, will I have any problems network bonding with a bridge and 5G router? Looking to use Speedify.
