I’ve been building an all-in-one Islamic app called Sakinah — it’s launching soon, and I’m looking for early TestFlight testers 👀

Assalamu Alaikum everyone 👋

For the past while, I’ve been working on Sakinah, an Islamic app that I wanted to feel genuinely useful in everyday life — not just another app with prayer times and a Qibla compass.

The idea was to bring a lot of the things Muslims regularly use into one clean, modern app.

I’m finally getting close to launch, so I wanted to share some screenshots with you all. 📱

Some of the features currently inside Sakinah include:
🕌 Prayer Times & Qibla

Accurate prayer information, Qibla direction and tools for your daily salah.

📖 Islamic Content & Daily Reminders
Content designed to help you keep Islam present throughout your day.

🤖 Sakinah Companion
A companion built into the app to help you explore Islamic topics and find useful information.

🍽️** Halal Food Disc**overy
Find halal places and make discovering somewhere to eat easier.

✈️** Muslim Travel To**ols
Useful features for Muslims travelling or exploring somewhere new.

🤝 Friends & Community
Connect with other Muslims and make the app feel less like a utility and more like a community.

🌙 Hayd Tracker
A private, thoughtfully designed tracker specifically for Muslim women.

📱 Home Screen Widgets
Beautiful widgets designed to keep useful Islamic information visible without needing to constantly open the app.

🎮 Islamic Games & Learning
Interactive ways to learn more about Islam rather than just reading through pages of information.

…and there’s quite a bit more that I’ll be showing over the next few days.

I’d really like Reddit to be one of the first communities to try it.

Before the public App Store launch, I’m opening up a small early-access group through Apple TestFlight.

I’m still actively developing it, so feedback at this stage can actually influence what makes it into the app.

Sakinah — an app that gathers your whole day of worship, not just prayer times

Salaam everyone

I built Sakinah — “Peace, made practical.”

It’s not just another prayer times app. It’s built around the idea that your whole day — prayer, Qur’an, reflection, learning — should feel gathered, not scattered across five different apps. What’s inside:

- Prayer: A full timeline from Fajr to Tahajjud, Qibla direction, and a private tracker — no public streaks or guilt-tripping, just a gentle log

- Qur’an: Read with Arabic, transliteration, and translation side by side, add study notes, or just listen — full surah recitation ready to go

- Learn: Courses, seerah stories, and a daily hadith — explicitly “no grades, no streaks,” just guidance at your pace

- Reflect: A daily reflection and ayah of the day, meant to sit with you rather than another box to tick

- Friends: A private space to encourage a small circle of people you choose — not a public feed, just quiet accountability

- Built-in AI you can text or talk to for questions or guidance

It’s a paid app — no ads, no data harvesting. Just something I wanted to exist and couldn’t find.
