Hi all. Am I right in thinking when you use Play in Ableton (latest version) it's takes control of my LaunchkeyMK4 25 and makes the pots useless outside of Play? So the macros control play, but if I switch to an in stock device the macro aren't recognized (the four colour pads remain)

Even if you close Play you have to go to setting and toggle control surface so it reads Ableton again. It's looks good, but not sure it's worth the hassle, until the bug is fixed?.

Any advice would be helpful.
