Cash ISA transfer for weeks (England)
Hi all,
Looking for some advice regarding a Cash ISA transfer from Trading 212 to HSBC.
I requested the transfer at the beginning of April using a paper ISA transfer form submitted through HSBC. A couple of weeks later, the funds disappeared from Trading 212 and the transfer was marked as completed on their side.
However, the money has still not appeared in my HSBC ISA account several weeks later.
So far I have:
- contacted both HSBC and Trading 212 multiple times
- opened a formal complaint with HSBC
- obtained settlement / transaction references from Trading 212
- provided all references and payment details to HSBC
- received inconsistent information from different HSBC agents
- been told by HSBC that the transfer is still “pending” internally
- triggered a formal payment trace through Trading 212
HSBC initially gave me a complaint response deadline, but have now extended it by another 20 days because they still haven’t resolved the issue.
I’ve also received generic emails from HSBC saying there are delays due to high ISA transfer volumes after the tax year, but nobody has been able to explain exactly where the money currently is.
Trading 212 says the transfer settled successfully and that the funds left them weeks ago.
At this stage:
- the funds are not accessible to me
- not visible at either provider
- and I still don’t have a proper explanation from HSBC
Don’t really know what should do next? Shall I just wait? Raise it to FOS?
