My wife works in a Hotel in Dubai as a host . During one of her daily routine work she got in to mild disagreement with a colleague who works as cleaner in Hotel over one their duties( this was not big deal and work continued as usual). Later that day , this guy started picking on my wife and got verbal altercation over it . He started hurling vulgar profanities and started getting into her personal space in an attempt to intimidate here ; She has told him to back off several times & he kept shouting at her in front of everybody. Mind there ever several staff members and customers present at that time .
He was shouting and screaming vulgar profanities about without any filters about her whole family. In a moment she lost her control and hit him in his face once.
This caused to Guy to react even violently and he proceeded to hit here several times breaking her jaw and causing bleeding from mouth and face.
Mind you , this Happened in front of all the staff members and customers . She raised this issue with management but they doesn’t seem to care or take any action against the perpetrator. They let him go with a simple warning.
Moreover , the management seem to shift the whole blame on her as she had hit from first without looking into entire context
Apparently , upon further investigation he has previous instances of acting violently with other staff members and abusing female colleagues.
In this scenario , what is right course of legal action to take to indict him ? Is filing a case with Dubai police the right way to move forward ?
