I finally did it!
I finally built the ATM star in ATM 10! I never played a modpack seriously before. This is one of the hardest things I've ever done in a video game, and I've been an avid gamer since the mid-80s.
I played ATM 10 a little bit with my young daughter on 2 prior occasions but never progressed in those worlds in any significant way and didn't pay any attention to the quests. Earlier this year, I got bored of other games and started this playthrough on 2/20/2026. I started slow but became obsessed with my growing production and power. I think the turning point came when I got into apotheosis and spent a lot of time getting the best gear possible. Then, at some point, I started to get a little bored even though I was having fun. I decided to build the first star component just for fun. I already had a few wither compass components, so I went ahead and built that. It was so much fun, and I was hooked! Along the way, I built some rooms and areas that I'm quite proud of. This is also the first time I really made a serious effort to make some of my builds look nice, and I'm proud of them.
I decided to play E2E next. I enjoyed the structured and quest-driven progress and slow and hard-earned power progression, so I think I'll love E2E.
