How I fight back racism in Germany against Asian hate

Today I wanted to buy some groceries from the supermarket, but it was going to close soon, so I had to hurry. When I got to the entrance, there were about four teenagers standing in front of the supermarket. As I was walking in, one of them called out, “ching chanx chonx” at me. I got really angry and shouted back, “Fick dich.”Then he looked at me once and immediately looked away, like he suddenly didn’t dare to say another word.I know they were probably just bullying teenagers, but has it really gotten this bad? This happened in a small town in western Germany. Is racism in Germany really becoming this blatant, where people feel comfortable targeting individuals in public like that? Some people might say, Just suck it up, ignore it, and move on. But honestly, how are you supposed to live in a society like this while still keeping your self-respect and dignity?
