I just ordered the G40XMN from Best Buy. It arrives tomorrow. I was wondering if theres any settings I could use for both gaming and watching media. I play competitive FPS games and watch a fair bit of media(shows, movies, etc). I’m coming from a 1080p IPS monitor, and really wanted to try HDR as well seeing how MiniLED backlights technology compared to the IPS monitors I’m used to. OLED was a little out of my current budget, and I was also looking to upgrade to 1440p sooner than later, so after considering everything and looking at recommendations, I landed on the AOC Q27G40XMN.
I’d prefer to just dial in the settings once and leave them be, rather than switching from SDR to HDR or adjust the local dimming depending on the use case. Of course I know there will be some sort of compromise I need to make either way.
Are there any settings that anyone would recommend I use for both competitive gaming and media consumption?
