Tile Overlap Joint at Corner

Is this corner (wall/floor) overlap joint ok? I'm a homeowner and paid a GC for this work. I have never tiled, so, this may be completely normal. I'm concerned that they did not grout the floor before placing the wall tile and there is also no space between the wall tile and floor tile for grout. It seems like there will be space for water to get in and possibly erode grout etc. over time. Thoughts? I am hoping that I am worrying about nothing.

If this is an issue, can you please explain how this should have been done and if I should say something? Can it be fixed without ripping it out? Are there any construction standards to point to? We've already had numerous issues with the contractor, so, if it is a problem, we'll need to handle it carefully.

Thank you for the help!

UPDATE: Thank you all for the input and education! It seems like this is an instance where caulk really is the proper answer. Glad to hear that this all looks normal.
