Franco Ontarienne loosing her French potentially moving to Québec!

Hello!

I am Franco ontarienne. I grew up in a bilingual English-French household but we primarily spoke French. I went to elementary school and middle school in French, then went to an English high school and university in English. I know speak mostly in English at work and home and am finding it more and more difficult to write and converse in French.

I have an opportunity to move to Quebec (near Trois-Rivières) but I would have to speak French 100% of the time at work. I am nervous they will judge me for not being as fluent but I also feel like my language skills might come back.

I don’t want to limit myself given that I do have the French background but I also think it will be frustrating not being able to express myself as well in a professional environment.

Any thoughts? Do you think the language skills will be an issue in the Québécois context?

Thanks! :)
