I have 3 large garden beds that came with my house, and they have been sitting there for 6 years now. one has dirt (will probably have to remove and add fresh i imagine) , the other 2 are empty. WHERE do i start? Is there a certain type of dirt? Best place to get plants/seeds?

I am hoping to start growing my own berries and veggies, anything to not have to buy "dirty" ones from the grocery stores.

UPDATE: I am in the desert unfortunately (Think Vegas/Arizona)
