Working as an air freight forwarder in Cape Town – does it make sense?
I’ve recently been looking into different career paths abroad and South Africa — especially Cape Town — caught my attention. One area that seems interesting to me is air freight forwarding/logistics, but it’s surprisingly difficult to find reliable information online about the actual market conditions there.
I’m mainly curious about:
- what kind of salaries people in air freight/logistics realistically earn,
- whether the industry is growing,
- if there are good opportunities in international forwarding companies,
Most salary websites show completely different numbers, so I’d really appreciate opinions from people who actually know the industry locally.
