Hey everyone, question from a newish speech therapist who just discovered they are in a maintenance audit for the time period of 2023-2025. I only discovered this by randomly going to the ASHA website and logging into my account. If they sent me something by mail it may have gone to an old address or something as I never received notice of the audit.

I've been given until August 31st of 2026 to complete the compliance form in order maintain my ASHA certification. It currently says ("your certification is not current") on my ASHA account page. The thing is that I have royally dropped the ball and did not complete any CEUs during that time period. I have no real excuse I just screwed up and neglected this area of my practice.

Does anyone have any experience or knowledge in a situation like this?

I can bust my ass to get 30 hours between now and August 31st but obviously they won't be CEUs during the time period of the audit. I'm kind of terrified as I couldn't afford to stop working and I'm not sure what I would do if my license was somehow revoked or something.

For more context, I currently work in Massachusetts (previously in CA for several years) and my MA state licensure is up to date and won't need renewal until next year.

Please help!

Sincerely, an anxious speech therapist who knows they screwed up
