Recently, I got a pending charge for a class C misdemeanor (possession of paraphernalia). Super unlucky situation, but here I am.

I’m not going to go into detail, but I have a big tech internship for next fall. Currently I am extremely worried that this will affect my background check as, at the time, I filled out the background check with a perfectly clean record. Will this affect my overall status on interning there next fall? Is there anyone with anecdotal experience with this that can provide some support?

Not looking for legal advice. Already getting a lawyer for the law side of things, just want some input for my situation.
