Tips for balancing deferred exams (ie BIO130, CHM136, CSC108) while managing summer school (NMC276)?

Hi everyone! One of my friends has 3 deferred exams and plans to take NMC276 for the second sub-section for Summer. He's wondering what the most efficient way is to study for his deferred exams (specific/general advice for each course) whilst balancing NMC276. Thanks!

Is it possible to take CCT111H5 alone in the summer?

Hi everyone! I’m considering taking CCT111H5 this summer just for a transfer credit as I will be transferring universities. For context, I am a Life Sci student at UTSG. The calendar lists CCT109H5 and CCT110H5 as corequisites, so I’m wondering if that means they must be taken in the same term or if anyone has been allowed to take CCT111H5 on its own.

I’ve also seen that CCT110H5 requires CCT109H5, so I’m not sure how this works in practice. Has anyone dealt with this before? Thanks!

Hi guys! This is for my cousin who doesn’t have enough karma to post!

Hi everyone! I just wrapped up 4th year and I only realized now that I want to do med. I was on the track to doing research/medical sales until I tried volunteering in hospitals and doing some more research into medicine which made me realize I’m more passionate about it relative to research/medical sales. My stats aren’t that greatest but I just wanted to know if anyone else is in the same boat/can share some thoughts on my situation:

cGPA: 3.75
Excluding 1st year my GPA is a 4.0 for all other years (messed around a little too hard)

Plan to take the MCAT next year so no stats on that yet

ECs:

- participated as a clinical research assistant position since summer of 1st year with 4 publications

- RA for 2 other wet labs for 2 separate summers for 2nd year and 3rd year

- club exec for 2 clubs (one for science and one cultural)

- volunteered in a hospital for 1 summer after 1st year and then continued every summer until now (initially volunteered in a gift shop and then last summer as an outpatient volunteer)

- STEM tutor for K-12 since 1st year

- volunteered for 2 years as an author for children’s books to deliver to low-income neighborhoods

- worked as a safety officer for a construction site for 2 summers

- I have some hobbies that i do for fun like read books, basketball, bake, play games, etc.

- I have an explanation for my poor 1st year GPA which had to do with sole personal circumstances at home which I managed to fix after the following summer (by transferring schools)

- Took a gap year after 1st year to work on clinical research and a small part time job

Any thoughts would be much appreciated! I'm also open to taking a 5th year or a masters if it can significantly help! I’m also IP Ontario but I’m willing to apply OOP or internationally! Thanks everyone 😄
