Your favorite iron-dense and/or calorie dense meals?

I don’t know if this is the right sub, but I’ll post anyway. If not, let me know the best place to ask.

I’m 21, 5’3, around 115 lbs. I’ve definitely gained weight, but I’ve always been pretty small. I’ve been going to my college’s dietician to help with my nutrition, ensuring my diet is well-rounded and iron-rich. Along with an iron-rich diet, she recommended that I eat 1500-1700 daily, especially to improve my iron deficiency. I’ve found it to be very difficult though, and have had trouble meeting nutritional needs!

I’ve been tracking calories and despite me feeling like i’m always eating, I clearly have not been getting enough in my diet to stay as healthy as possible 😞. Very few days I hit 1300-1500, but most days i tend to eat 1000-1300. I’m definitely not eating enough to help my iron deficiency and I need to fix it for sure. My dietician gave me a list of foods to eat/not eat together for optimal iron absorption, but I’d love to hear of some recipes.

With that being said, anybody have any calorie-dense or iron-dense (plus if it’s both) recipes that they love to eat throughout the week? Also, if you have any tips to get used to eating more, I’d love to hear them!
