Finally got my first tomato harvest after almost giving up

Finally got my first tomato harvest after almost giving up

I almost ripped these plants out a month ago.

Between the heat, random yellow leaves, and a week where I forgot to water them properly, I was convinced I was wasting my time. My neighbors' plants were thriving while mine looked like they were writing their wills.

This morning I went outside with coffee and noticed a few tomatoes had finally turned bright red. Picked them, sliced one up for breakfast, and honestly it tasted better than any store-bought tomato I've had in years.

Not a huge harvest, not perfectly shaped, and definitely not Instagram-worthy, but growing something from a tiny seed still feels kind of amazing.

For anyone who's new to gardening and feeling discouraged: your plants are probably doing better than you think.

Anyone else have a plant they almost gave up on but ended up surprising you?
