Completely exhausted now I’ve got a handle on the pain?

Hi everyone!

Some background first:

  • 34F
  • Excision surgery a year ago
  • I have PMDD
  • Also have possible adenomyosis

So I’ve been trying so many different meds, and I ended up finding that a low dose combined pill seems to stop the pain and help my pmdd too. What a win!

However I’m completely exhausted! I know this can be a side effect, however it didn’t start immediately so I’m inclined to think it’s more indirect…

I have a suspicion that I’ve been completely exhausted and depleted for months, but have been running on adrenaline to get by, amplified by the stress of constant flare ups every month.

But now I have got a handle on the pain, it feels like my body has crashed, and I’m not able to run on adrenaline anymore, if that makes sense!

Has anyone else been in this position? How did you cope? Did anything help?

At the moment I’m getting through the workday and then just going straight back to bed, and stuck in bed all weekend, can barely function. It sucks!!

I am seeing my GP this week, going to ask for bloods to check everything is okay, but I’m inclined to think I’m completely burned out.

Any help appreciated :)

Please help me with my pointe shoe fit!

Hi all! I am an adult in my second pair of pointe shoes.

I have compressible toes, narrow feet, very tapered (I think, I’ve attached a pic). I don’t have any images of me on pointe sadly, so hopefully you still get the gist of what I mean!

My first pair were Bloch Heritage, size 7.5X. They were… okay… but I constantly had issues with sinking, once I had worn them a couple times. I worked around it with box liners and gel toe caps, but they were never quite right.

Then earlier this year I was in a larger city to got refitted in the hope they’d have more options (where I live the options are limited and the store had pretty much only Bloch shoes). They fitted me in So Danca Alina IV, size 8D. Now I have the same sort of issues, with sinking. But also friction burns on the pads of my big toes, which are quite sore! I find myself crunching my toes a lot in them, which is unusual for me, and I’m wondering if perhaps its a reflex for trying to feel stable in them?

Unfortunately, pointe shoes are not cheap and I’m not in a position to buy new ones right now.

In case it helps, I use a toe spacer between my big and second toes, gel toe caps on my big toes, and ouch pouches.

I wondered if anyone had any suggestions, tips (or commiserations haha).

Thank you in advance!
