Way too young. Hug your loved ones y’all.
The Captain here and Arsenal clinched their 15th title yesterday when Man City drew their match. 5, 2nd place finishes, including 3 straight, and many other tight races over 22 years since their last title. This one feels as much a relief as it does joy.
Where was I when this happened? Taking a much needed nap when the congratulations texts woke me. I had an amazing Tuesday, I hope you all have an amazing day today and cheers to The Arsenal!
1st time in New Orleans and this is how I’m treated?! We’re definitely off to a great start!
Well mostly recent mail day shares but we got both coasts covered and the middle. Cheers y’all!
Blue Jays Junk Wax Mustache Monday with a 1989 Topps Big for a big ol stache on 1979 Cy Young Award Winner Mike Flanagan
Flanny spent 18 years in the big with the Jays (87-90) and more notably the Orioles where he was a member of the 1983 Championship squad and is a member of the O’s Hall of Fame.
Very unfortunately he committed suicide in 2011 while battling financial issues and depression. RIP to a baseball lifer and don’t be afraid to make the call if you need help.
Picked this legend up yesterday at my LCS, just happened to hear him talking about his glasses origin story the day before and it felt serendipitous.
Skip was a Baseball lifer with 17 years in the bigs and 14 years as a Manager, including a stint with my Jays. 6x All-Star, a Gold Glove, and his number 11 retired as part of the Angels hall of fame. So I was glad to pick up this legend as my first of this classic set for a well worn quarter.
Shout out to my better half for being a badass nurse
Winning semifinal goal today and the dreams are still alive in May.
Blue Jays Junk Wax Mustache Monday
Yesterday I posted the card that got me back into collecting. Today we’ll throw it back to the set that got me started. The chase card, that I will cherish forever, is hiding in the background but I was already established as a Jays fan so this card was a big hit for me too. Have a great week folks!
Today, I thought I’d share softball star’s 1st pull to celebrate her 15th birthday.
Out of nowhere she decided to bring home a Big League Fat Pack from Target to open with dear old dad in 2023. The joy and rush of pulling this card led us down a path I couldn’t have predicted during arguably the most difficult time of our lives together, puberty.
I wasn’t impressed with my own collection of almost pure uncut junk wax and, in a pretty reasonable mid-life crisis moment, set out to build something I’m happy to share.
She rips a baseball pack for every softball hit she gets and picks one for her hits binder, has a nice little Blue Jays collection, and mainly collects her true love, women’s basketball.
We rip on special occasions (got some WNBA boxes for her bday), trips together, or mostly when she’s a little overwhelmed because life. I reward her with dope singles for good grades. Her older sister collects Pokémon and gets similar treatment. It helps quiet our minds and provides a fun distraction when needed.
We’re fortunate to be able to afford to rip and collect. We share our dupes with neighbor kids on Halloween and friends like you all.
This card eventually led me to this community, where I’ve met some awesome people and shared in our bounty of cards and life. Thanks to my daughter(s), wife, and thanks to you all, the last few years have been some of the absolute best!
TL;DR this card got us into collecting together and you all rule.
Leaf 92 FTW Thanks for an epic morning u/GppDNAppA

Sadly that drip wasn’t enough and he never made it to the show.
No team has ever come back from 3-0 in the NBA Playoffs… and highly doubt that changes this week.
At least Amen has been balling out in the series while about to be swept by the Lakers.
